Over the past 30 years, I have expressed my love of color, texture and beauty via various mediums from weaving to knitting to nuno felting to fabric collage and now have found that through painting silk I can convey those loves most effectively.  

White silk becomes the canvas for my work.  I first stretch silk taut on a frame, then the silk is painted with Sumi brushes and high-quality French dyes.  Manipulating the dyes creates beautiful patterns and designs.  Creating each individual work of art with silk allows me to share this joy with others.  Every piece created is an expression of the beauty I see all around me in nature.  People who have seen my work have said that it is colorful radiates joy.  Bringing beauty and light to our world through my art is a great gift to me and a unique honor to have found a way to convey these images to you.
